Adult Ministries
Fern Creek United Methodist Church sponsors numerous avenues in which adult members may pursue their Christian growth as well as strengthen their daily walk with Christ.

There is a number of Sunday school classes offering a variety of teaching styles, topics, and approaches to enrich personal faith. Through the Sunday School program you will form lasting personal connections. New classes are organized periodically.

Many special activities are planned by the church throughout the year to bring families together in a spirit of Christian fun and fellowship.

Bible Study...Several opportunities for in-depth study of the Bible are offered periodically at our Church; a Koinonia Bible Study Group meets every other Thursday in the homes of members. For more information on these contact the Church office.

PaceSetters...Our "senior citizens"
group usually meets the second Thursday each month at the Church for a potluck luncheon and business meeting. Check the Church calendar or current Steeple Story ( Church newsletter) for changes. This group takes one-, two-, three-day (sometimes longer) bus tours, attends the Derby Dinner dinner-theater matinees, and visits local attractions of interest to the group. The PaceSetters is open to anyone 60 years and older or anyone retired (if younger than 60).

The purpose of the United Methodist Women (UMW) is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church. The monthly General Meeting is held on the first Thursday of each month; the meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. There is no General Meeting in July or August. The Mary E. Reid Circle meets in members' homes at 10 a.m. on the third Thursday of each month.

This group for men of all ages meets at 8:00 a.m. on the fourth Saturday of each month for breakfast, inspiration, and fellowship. They perform untold numbers of hours of work around the Church, and as ambassadors for Christ, they reach out often to other communities through the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission program.
